Welcome to Amazon Prime video South Africa. Recently rolled out the video streaming service of their own. The beauty of this is that it is available in over 199 countries including South Africa since December 2016!
This service is available on apps for iOS, Andriod and for Smart LG and Samsung TV’s. Also via the prime video website. One of the biggest shows I’ve been anticipating and sure a lot of you were also. Would have to be Clarkson, Hammond and May on Amazon with the new show The Grand Tour. There are also shows like The Tick, Preacher American Gods and more.
Now I just like to add a side note on this post regarding Amazon prime shipping, that is not offered to SA yet. Yes its possible to purchase and get some items shipped here from Amazon USA, but most products don’t. So this post is on the Prime video streaming service. Which is offered to South Africa. However its all a package deal. An Amazon prime member enjoys free fast delivery, Video streaming and Music streaming under the membership. What’s To like about Amazon Prime Video South Africa
What I tend to like a lot is the feature where you can look at the cast, jump to scenes and view behind the scenes action. Also you also get a little general trivia that explains words or slang that we don’t know but is used in the shows. Furthermore it has HD as standard and is capable of UHD also some 4K content. For now there are about 255 titles to watch however I do feel that will definitely increase in time. Also with over 150000 movies and episodes I think its safe to say there’s quite a lot of Amazon prime video content. But do believe it will only grow as they have.
- Amazon Originals Content is Award-Winning: Prime members may watch Award-Winning shows specifically made by Amazon for Prime video, such a The Grand Tour, American Gods , Man in the high castle and such.
- Amazon X-Ray: This is a cool feature which allows you to view behind the scenes, cut scenes, cast photo’s, cast bios, trivia’s, soundtrack info and filmographies. This is powered by IMDb (Internet movie database.
- Amazon Kids: Kids are not left out. With their own original Kids shows, which some are critically-acclaimed no one misses out. The shows were designed with families and empowerment in mind. Its expert built to build “right brain” skills in kids.
